Sophia at the Fair

Well...... for those of you that do not know about Farmer's Fair, let me fill you in.

Farmer's Fair is Indiana's oldest fair it has been going on for 102 years. The little downtown area of good old Aurora turns into a giant carnival (much like babyfood festival but on a much larger scale.

So since we live 2 blocks from downtown all week on the way to and from daycare Sophia asked me what was going on and I would explain to her that there are rides and food there and that we would go on Friday when mommy was done with school for the week. Well, I was not thinking a 21 month old would even remember what I said let alone understand. I should know better.

She saw a car ride when we were driving the other day and she talked about it all week, aparently even at daycare. So this morning she asks me, "We go to fair momma!?" She was so darn excited about it..... First I had to walk down there to get her hair cut and while we were waiting for my stylist to get done with her client we took a peek at the Budweiser Horses. She loved them!

Then after lunch and a nap we took her to ride the rides and she had a blast. Aside from a few temper tantrums after having to leave a ride she did pretty well. But those are to be expected these days.

The merry go round was her favorite! We rode it 5 TIMES! I was dizzy by the end. She also liked the car.

So there is my rediculously long explanation of what we did today. If you made it through CONGRATS!

So EXCITED!

This is my favorite picture in the whole wide world! Good job Daddy!

She was not quite sure what to think at first.

Mommy buckling her in. Safety first :)
